Altivar ATV12 Series
The Altivar ATV12 Series is made up from Variable Speed Drives for small machines with a three-phase 240 V 0. 18 to 4 kW asynchronous motors. This type of VFD has a low voltage, high performance and excellent power. The Altivar 12 features plug and play installation, integrated functions and alternative base plate versions which enables them to be suitable for applications involving simple machinery.
Features & Benefits
• Drive thermal detection is provided by a build-in PTC probe in the power module.
• The ATV12 is compatible with the ATV11, but there are some differences that exist between both drives.
• Variable speed asynchronous motor drive.
• Increased productivity due to their advanced, intelligent functions.
• Easy communication to other machine components because of the integrated universal Modbus serial link.
• Offers a high quality drive for the factory setting, from the very first time you power up.
• When breaking or acceleration there is a high dynamic performance.
• Features excellent speed regulations on machine load surges.
• Created and designed to give easy instillation and wiring.
• Super-fast detection and protection against motor current peaks.
• Featuring a three level menu structure – Reference, monitoring and configuration modes.
• There is a Bluetooth option for downloading or accessing settings with a PC or mobile phone.
• Discreet in size but big and powerful on performance.
Where can I use my Inverter Drive?
• This series can be used for mechanical and electrical instillations, please refer to the user manual for more information.
• Material handling – small conveyors
• Packaging – small labelling machines, small bagging machines
• Pumping applications – suction pumps, centrifugal pumps and circulating pumps
• Machinery that has machines fitted with fans – Air or smoke extraction, plastic film making machines, ovens and boilers.
• Simple consumer machines such as handling access barriers, rotating advertising hoardings.
• The health industry such as medical beds and running machines.
• They can also be found in the food and drink industry being used in machine such as mills, kneading machines and mixers.
How to look after ATV12 Series VFD
The Altivar 12 does not need any preventative maintenance, although we do advise that you perform a few regular checks to ensure optimum delivery.
• The condition and tightness of any of the connections.
• Make sure that the temperature around the unit remains at an acceptable level and that ventilation is effective. The average service life of the fans is an impressive ten years.
• Make sure that if any dust is apparent, it is removed.
• Keep a look out that the fans are always in proper operation and that there is no physical damage to the covers.
Not suitable for a 400 V 3 phase input.
Schneider Electric ATV12H018F1
This Altivar 12 variable speed drive can feed single phase asynchronous motors. It works at a rated power up to 0.18kW / 0.25hp and a rated voltage from 100V to 120V AC. It is designed with heatsink for normal environments and fan-cooled enclosure. Transient overtorque function prevents stoppages by unjamming the machine with extra torque, when needed, this reduces downtime and maintenance costs. It features underload and overload detection, this contribute to protect your installation. The Altivar 12 drive integrates as standard the Modbus communication protocol, which can be accessed via the RJ45 connector located on the underside of the drive. It is designed for simple industry and commercial machines and appliances, such as conveyors, pumps, extractors, access barriers and treadmills. SoMove software compatibility enables saving and transfering of configurations to spare drive, reducing maintenance downtime. It features an optimized application of power and torque for ventilation and pumping applications, this allows up to 30% energy savings.
