Allen Bradley 842E series ultra-high resolution EtherNet/IP absolute encoders provide dual-port Ethernet and M12 connectors. The 842E series encoders are designed for high performance and reliability in harsh industrial environments. Encoders include an embedded EtherNet/IP switch to connect additional Ethernet/IP capable products in series and/or support a Device Level Ring (DLR) for Ethernet media redundancy.

How do I mount this absolute encoder?
For simple installation, the hollow-shaft clamps around the motor shaft and you fix it in place with a flexible tether. This provides a secure fit even if the two shafts aren’t perfectly matched to each other in size. For added protection, the encoder features standardised M12 connectors designed to withstand vigorous washdowns and corrosive environments.
